The World's Best Candied Yams for Thanksgiving Dinner

This is recipe is really simple to make but they are the best candied yams you'll ever eat!

Fresh Yams (decide how many servings you need, 1 yam can be 2 generous portions of cut into quarters)
Butter (the amount depends upon how much candied sauce you want)
Box of Brown Sugar (this too depends upon how much sauce you need)

That's it, can you believe there are only 3 ingredients to the best candied yams you'll ever eat?

Cook your yams:
Now, you need to fill a large dutch oven with water and put your fresh yams inside, bring to a light boil and cook until the yams are soft.
Drain and remove yams from the water. Let the yams cool so that you can work with them.
Peel Yams and cut into whatever size portions you want, place them in a 13X9 dish

 Make the candy sauce:
Depending upon how many yams you will need to cover with sauce, each batch of sauce is one whole cube of butter melted with one whole box of light brown sugar. Melt the two together, then pour over the yams.

Bake Candied Yams:
Once all the yams are covered generously with the sauce you will need to cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour.

Let stand so that the sauce thickens, serve warm.
