Locals Claim the Best Fishing Spots In Big Bear Lake

Here's some information that comes from the WMD, Big Bear Lake Water Management as well as some fishing enthusiasts in Big Bear. According to the information received, these areas were considered to be the top fishing sweet spots on Big Bear Lake.

The various people interviewed for this information were actually "catching" fish, not just fishing. By the looks of their catch these people really know their fishing.

Below are the suggested spots. So, stake your claim for your next great fishing story. List is in no specific order.

• East Ramp
• West Ramp
• Near the Big Bear Marina
• The triangle from Big Bear Marina to the Solar Observatory to Grout Bay
• Stanfield Road cutoff from Big Bear Boulevard to North Shore Drive,
• Along the bike path
• Boulder Bay

While these spots are highly suggested, we are certainly not suggesting that they are the only place to fish. Big Bear Lake is a fisherman's dream! At 73,000 acre feet, Big Bear Lake is the world’s largest man-made lake, abundant with many varieties of fish just waiting for a good fight!

With such an awesome lake its no wonder that fishing in Big Bear has become a popular pastime. Fish are caught daily from the shoreline near the dam on both sides of the lake, just East of Stanfield Cutoff and from anywhere you can cast your line.
