Are you ready for some craziness .... Big Bear style?

Get ready for some zany lunacy and craziness - Big Bear style!

This Saturday July 27th will be our annual Doo Dah Parade to be held over in Fawnskin (on the north shore of Big Bear Lake).  It has been dubbed (one of ) the shortest parades ever held.  Only one block long, it will start about 10 a.m. with the route going through the historic business district of downtown Fawnskin.  This year there are said to be about 30 group and individual entries that will comprise the parade line up.

Some say it's the 49th annual Doo Dah Parade, some say not .... also if you're planning on attending you might want to arrive just a little early as it may or may not start early or on time, you just never know!  It's just that kind of an event.  It is another of our Old Miner's Day events which is sponsored by that organization as well as the Fawnskin Chamber of Commerce and Moose Lodge #2085.

After the parade you might want to hang around and attend the Big Bear Moose Festival, put on by our local Moose Lodge and to be held at the Don Conroy Memorial Park which is just behind the lodge itself. at 39211 North Shore Dr. (Hwy 38) in Fawnskin.  There will be food booths, vendors and entertainment for the whole family!

So it looks like a fun day for all to enjoy.  This will also just about wind up this years Old Miner's Days festivities.  Hope to see you there!
